When & where is the Greencastle Run held ?The Annual Greencastle Run is held every year on December 26th in Greencastle, County Tyrone. Greencastle is located halfway between Omagh & Cookstown.
What is the Greencastle Run ?The Greencastle run is a 5mile road run, it takes runners round a unique 5mile road loop starting and finishing on the exact same spot at Greencastle Community Center. The run was orginally started in 1986 by Greencastle AC as road runs were very scarce at the time, the run has raised thousands for local charities since 1986.
How do I enter the Greencastle 5mile Run ?You can register online by clicking "Enter NOW" on any page. The first 1000 entries are guaranteed one of our High Quality Technical T-shirts. We do NOT accept entries on the day.
Can I register in person on the morning of the race ?90% of entries are placed online beforehand. Our main hall is dedicated to distributing pre-entry packs. Limited late entries will be taken downstairs for £15. A race t-shirt is not guaranteed, We still accept Walk entries on the day up to 10:45am. What do I get for my registration fee ?You get to take part in County Tyrone's longest running Road Run, a high quality t-shirt, timing-chip (which must be returned afterwards), a goody bag when you cross the line, post race refreshments and a great atmosphere.
